As part of this distinction, Michaela Theodorakakou, our Founder and Creative Director of Mitheo Events, was invited to share her perspective through an exclusive Q&A with DWP. In the interview, she reflects on the responsibility behind each celebration, approaching weddings not simply as events, but as carefully crafted experiences rooted in heritage, place, and human connection.

As part of the interview, Michaela was asked which destination she would choose if she were to marry or renew her vows today.

“I was married in Athens, Greece, twenty years ago, surrounded by 300 guests, in a city defined by light, history, and culture. Today, having lived on Lake Como, Italy, with my husband and our two daughters since 2018, I would choose Italy to renew our vows, with an intimate, thoughtful celebration by the lake, reflecting the life we have built together.”
